
Microfiche / OCR / Sentiment Analysis (2022)
This was the final project for my Hacking Humanities class where all looked at Microfiche.
Microfiche are pieces of film to store data and documents, and they are all over the Libe (you have probably seen them). There is a wide variety of microfiche available, but we chose the college advertisements because they allowed us to do the most analysis.
For this project, I mostly focused on the data analysis portion where I did some rudimentary sentiment analysis on MonkeyLearn.
Although our analysis wasn’t in-depth, we learned about digitalizing lost forms of media and what we can do with it.

Spotify Data Analysis (2021)
In this project, we used data found from the Spotify API over a range of years. In the Spotify API, each song has a certain set of parameters ranging from danceability to energy.
We used the programming language R to observe how songs have changed over the last 10 years in terms of genre and energy.
